MIAMI, FL—Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that Larry Silverman and Dianne “Dee Dee” Fischer have joined the firm as partners in the Litigation practice group. As trial lawyers, they focus their practices on commercial litigation and antitrust litigation and counseling, including MDL and class action disputes, representing a wide variety of industries. They were previously in the Miami office of Akerman LLP. In addition, two litigation associates, Ivan Feris and Carmen Ortega-Rivero, will be joining Sidley.

Mr. Silverman is known for his wealth of experience in antitrust and commercial litigation matters. He has extensive experience in antitrust counseling, with an emphasis on distribution law issues such as MAP, resale and unilateral pricing policies, internet sales restrictions, and dealer agreements.

Ms. Fischer is a trial lawyer, commercial litigator and counselor who focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. She has handled disputes involving a variety of legal claims including the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), the Lanham Act, the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA).
