WASHINGTON, D.C.—McGlinchey Stafford is pleased to announce that experienced regulatory compliance attorney James (Jim) Milano has joined the firm’s Financial Institutions Compliance practice group as a Member (Partner) in the Washington, D.C. office.

Jim represents financial institutions on state and federal regulatory compliance matters with a focus on mortgage lending. He counsels clients including mortgage companies, depository institutions, secondary market investors, consumer finance companies, and settlement service providers, including appraisal management companies.

Before joining McGlinchey, Jim was a partner at a prominent financial services law firm in Washington, D.C., where he represented corporate clients in regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.

Jim was elected in 2015 as a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers (ACCFSL) and currently serves as a Regent of the organization. In 2019, Jim was elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He also serves as chair of the Governing Committee for the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.
