Professional screenwriters are just better at creating memorable characters and scenarios than most law professors

— Professor Diane Kemker of DePaul University College of Law, in comments given to Reuters on an online discussion group that’s frequented by law professors across the country, named the Waystar/Royco School of Law, in honor of the fictional company and family at the center of HBO’s “Succession.” Don’t be surprised if you see a legal lesson from the show pop up on a law school exam sometime soon. DePaul even has a forthcoming edition of its law review dedicated to the show.
