Elizabeth Prelogar<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Former Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar is a noted appellate attorney who ended her SG reign when Joe Biden left the White House. Given the questionable Republican tactics<\/a> that resulted in a conservatively stacked High Court, Prelogar\u2019s job was particularly challenging. But, by all accounts<\/a>,\u00a0 she shined in the role.\u00a0 After four years arguing in front of the Supreme Court, it looks like she\u2019s after something a little different.<\/p>\n

As reported by<\/a> Law360, she\u2019ll be teaching \u201cChanging Paradigms in the Supreme Court,\u201d something she\u2019s uniquely qualified to opine on:<\/p>\n

As a visiting professor, she will teach a first-year course on the Supreme Court\u2019s recent focus on text, history and tradition, as well as its move away from stare decisis, the principle that prior judicial rulings should be respected, according to the class\u2019 website. Michael Dreeben, another solicitor general\u2019s office veteran, is listed as Prelogar\u2019s co-instructor.<\/p>\n

Prelogar will teach the class for at least the spring 2025 semester, her faculty assistant, Laura Zeng, told Law360.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

One class is all that\u2019s currently on Prelogar\u2019s schedule. That means the door is still open for Biglaw firms that might be interested in locking down the elite appellate litigator.<\/p>\n
