But the impact was the same: Students had to miss a lot of class in order to do interviews. If the outcome was that there weren\u2019t more opportunities out there, then it negatively impacted students, because you are still graded on a curve.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i>\u2014 <\/i><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.northwestern.edu\/faculty\/profiles\/daviddiamond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">David Diamond<\/a>, assistant dean of the Career Strategy Center at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, in comments given to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/americanlawyer\/2025\/02\/05\/none-of-us-like-it-how-expedited-summer-associate-recruiting-affects-law-students-and-the-firms-hiring-them\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">American Lawyer<\/a>, on Biglaw firms\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2024\/02\/will-oci-disappear-at-law-schools-thanks-to-biglaws-precruiting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">increased use of pre-recruiting<\/a> at the school and its effect on students.
