A driver was rear-ended by another motorist with only $10,000 in insurance coverage and was forced to battle their own insurance company for compensation under their uninsured motorist policy. The insurer fought every step of the way, hiring high-paid experts to downplay the severity of the injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe insurance company initially offered just $7,500, essentially dismissing our client\u2019s suffering. Sometimes fiercely, but never in anger. We aren\u2019t stuck doing things a certain way just because \u2018that\u2019s how it\u2019s always been done.\u2019 We\u2019re constantly adapting, and that benefits our clients,\u201d Yoho says.<\/p>\n<p>Their dynamic is built on mutual respect and a shared belief that growth comes from diverse perspectives. Before co-founding Williams &amp; Yoho, he focused on civil justice and personal injury litigation.<\/p>\n<p>Yoho, raised in Gainesville, graduated from the Uniwversity of Central Florida with a degree in legal studies before earning his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal in 2018. He previously worked as a personal injury attorney at one of Clay County\u2019s largest firms.<\/p>\n<p>Ironically, when they met on their first day of law school, neither Williams nor Yoho had any intention of becoming personal injury lawyers. \u201cThat was the last thing on our minds. We had preconceived notions about the industry,\u201d Yoho says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe didn\u2019t want to be the stereotypical \u2018ambulance chasers.\u2019 But real-world experience changed our perspective,\u201d Williams says.<\/p>\n<p>That willingness to take on challenges defined their early years as trial attorneys. When they formed their partnership, neither had ever tried a case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had to learn everything from zero to verdict. Some colleagues told us to settle the case or pass it off to more seasoned trial attorneys. But we knew our client deserved better.
