[There\u2019s concern that] either clients won\u2019t hire them because they\u2019re afraid that they will be ineffective or retaliated against for hiring these individuals who are so scorned by the Trump administration.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><em><strong><i>\u2014 <\/i>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrae.com\/rachel-nonaka\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Rachel Nonaka<\/a>, a Washington, D.C.-based law firm recruiter at Macrae, in comments given to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/nationallawjournal\/2025\/02\/27\/law-firms-pull-back-on-hiring-fired-government-lawyers-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">National Law Journal<\/a>, on the fact that hiring government lawyers who were fired may be a dangerous move. \u201cLaw firm partners are very often hired on their expertise and their connections. So if your network and connections are primarily with an out-of-power administration, of course that could have an impact,\u201d she said. \u201cWhat kind of impact?
