Most notable for (Supreme) Court watchers was, of course, the exchange between President Trump and Chief Justice John Roberts when T<a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2025\/03\/watch-the-exact-moment-john-roberts-realizes-he-whored-himself-out\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rump marked the Chief<\/a> as a made man. And it\u2019s given <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2024\/07\/amy-coney-barrett-the-supreme-court-justice-to-watch\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the left hope <\/a>that the Court isn\u2019t already in the bag for whatever harebrained constitutional scheme Project 2025 can dream up. But despite the math problem (one vote isn\u2019t much of swing when there are six Republican-appointed justices on the Court), it also requires a fair amount of self-delusion and ignores the devastating impact of <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2020\/10\/amy-coney-barrett-says-she-doesnt-know-how-shed-rule-on-an-abortion-case-but-i-do-and-so-do-you\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coney Barrett\u2019s vote<\/a> on reproductive freedom.<\/p>\n<p>So, whatever Coney Barrett\u2019s thoughts on Donald Trump, it\u2019s not a silver bullet that will save America.
