Again \u2014 probably still has its roots in 9\/11 \u2014 but the Trump administration\u2019s steadfast commitment to lambaste anything that isn\u2019t pro-Israel as pro-terrorism has definitely sharpened the edge. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/columbia-anti-israel-protest-ringleader-mahmoud-khalil-faces-court-hearing-detention\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fox News<\/a> has coverage:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A court hearing will take place in Manhattan federal court Wednesday morning challenging the detention of Mahmoud Khalil, one of the ringleaders of anti-Israel protests at Columbia University last year who the Trump administration is trying to deport.<br \/>ICE agents arrested Khalil \u2014 who is a Palestinian raised in Syria and a permanent U.S. resident \u2014 from his university-owned apartment on the city\u2019s Upper West Side on Saturday and told him they were revoking his green card and student visa, according to Khalil\u2019s attorney, Amy Greer. He was then taken to a Louisiana detention center.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It cannot be repeated enough that the consequences Khalil is facing aren\u2019t because of any crime he\u2019s committed or been accused of \u2014 this is purely a \u201cYou said things we didn\u2019t like\u201d issue: <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Being \u201cadversarial\u201d to U.S. foreign policy is not a crime.
