When the artist formerly respected as Drake launched a legal battle against Universal Music Group for platforming Kendrick Lamar\u2019s hit song \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d many saw the move as Drake throwing in the musical towel. There are many ways to handle rap beef, and running to the judge has never been one of them. Desperate fans began to theorize that the lawsuit was actually a 4-D chess move to prevent Kendrick Lamar from performing the song at the Super Bowl and having millions of people call Drake a pedophile at one of the most viewed events of the year. Put simply, that did not work<\/a>. Nor did the threat of a lawsuit prevent Conan O\u2019Brien from making a joke at the Oscars about Kendrick calling Drake a pedophile<\/a>.
