\u2014 A senior lawyer at a large law firm, who was granted anonymity to speak candidly with Politico<\/a>, commenting on the attacks the Trump administration has made against the lawyers and law firms the president perceives as his political enemies. \u201cThey\u2019re just scared of retribution,\u201d said a senior lawyer at another Biglaw firm.<\/em><\/strong> To date, Trump has targeted Covington Burling<\/a>,\u00a0Perkins Coie<\/a>, and\u00a0Paul Weiss<\/a> with broad executive orders, and he has since\u00a0targeted 20 additional leading law firms<\/a>\u00a0over their DEI policies.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
