In the face of a direct attack by the Trump administration, the major law firm <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2025\/03\/paul-weiss-grovels-to-trump-gets-out-from-under-executive-order\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Weiss cut a deal<\/a>. To wit, in 2019 Paul Weiss chair Brad Karp was selected as a Distinguished Leader by the New York Law Journal. At that time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/newyorklawjournal\/2019\/10\/17\/distinguished-leader-brad-karp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he gave an interview <\/a>where he gave some choice quotes that read a lot different six years in the future.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>I am most proud of how we are leveraging our platform at Paul, Weiss to pursue crucial social justice initiatives and safeguard the rule of law.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2026.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Being a leader means being guided by what is right and having the moral courage to lead others to follow.
