I\u2019m not casting aspersions, but most U.S. attorneys have served as assistant U.S. attorneys and held senior roles within those offices\u2014that\u2019s valuable experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tobias<\/a> of the University of Richmond School of Law, in comments given to the New Jersey Law Journal<\/a>, on Alina Habba\u2019s<\/a> appointment as the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey. William Maderer<\/a>, special counsel at Saiber who once served as chief of the New Jersey USAO\u2019s special prosecution division, echoed Tobias\u2019s concerns, saying, \u201cShe has virtually no experience in federal civil law, and she has zero experience in federal criminal law. It\u2019s very disconcerting.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
