Celebrities \u2014 especially rappers \u2014 have a special way of showing love to their lawyers after a verdict in their favor. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s a decade old compilation<\/a> of rappers shouting out their legal defense in a song or two, but the more recent signs of respect and appreciation have been a lot more personal. Kodak Black got his lawyer\u2019s name tattooed on his hand<\/a>. A$ap Rocky and Rihanna promised to name their 3rd child after Joe Tacopina for his role in landing Lord Pretty Flacko Jody II a not guilty verdict<\/a>. Young Thug, style guru that he is<\/a>, helped Brian Steel add model to his CV:<\/p>\n

They are in reference to Mr. Steel\u2019s recent decision to represent Sean Combs<\/a>. For what it\u2019s worth, the shirts may have been in production well before Brian picked up his newest client.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s hoping that he took the What \u201cWould Brian Do\u201d sentiment seriously in the recording studio. While there\u2019s no expectation that Steel drop a quick 16 or a chorus, it may be a good idea for him to give the lyrics a quick once over. Considering that Georgia tried to get Thug\u2019s parole revoked for a tweet he made about an investigator, he has to drop the album with the expectation that at least someone will be assigned to pick through the musical showcase for any hint of criminal activity: fictive or otherwise. As great as a couple new hits would be, he\u2019s already had a couple of lifetime\u2019s worth of fighting over his lyrics in court. Perhaps his first release after the case should be an instrumental. No sirens or gunshots, please. <\/a><\/p>\n
