You, as law students, have a choice to make: if you think you\u2019re going to a law firm, one of the criteria\u2014maybe the criteria\u2014to use to decide is whether you want to go to law firms that fought that or law firms that capitulated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><em>\u2014 Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.berkeley.edu\/our-faculty\/faculty-profiles\/erwin-chemerinsky\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Erwin Chemerinsky<\/a> of UC Berkeley Law, in comments given during during a presentation exploring the role that lawyers and their firms play in protecting the rule of law in America, where he encouraged students to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/therecorder\/2025\/04\/28\/-you-as-law-students-have-a-choice-berkeley-dean-says-to-eye-whether-firms-fought-executive-orders-or-capitulated\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">stand up for what they believe is right<\/a> when making career decisions.
