They realized that leaving a firm because of an agreement could have massive ramifications if the new firm they join ended up doing the same.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><em>\u2014 Dan Binstock, a recruiter and partner at Garrison, in comments given to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/americanlawyer\/2025\/05\/08\/stay-or-go-some-partners-and-associates-are-considering-exits-at-law-firms-settling-with-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">American Lawyer<\/a>, on why partners at the <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2025\/04\/biglaw-is-under-attack-heres-what-the-firms-are-doing-about-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">nine Biglaw firms that capitulated to the Trump administration<\/a> are staying put for now as opposed to attempting to make lateral moves.
