DN: <\/strong>My mentors showed me the power of asking for help and the value of having a supportive community. For solos and managing partners, this lesson is critical because trying to do everything alone can be isolating and exhausting. Being active in legal organizations like Women Owned Law not only broadened my perspective but also connected me with like-minded professionals who understood this journey deeply. I encourage every attorney, especially those running small firms, to find their tribe early. It\u2019s one of the best investments you can make in yourself and your firm\u2019s success.<\/p>\n

AALM: <\/strong>Looking back on your career, is there anything you would change?<\/p>\n

DN: <\/strong>If I\u2019m honest, there were missed chances, particularly in being more strategically intentional earlier on. For managing partners and solos juggling constant demands, this is a common struggle; sometimes, survival overtakes strategy. That said, every missed opportunity became a lesson that sharpened my focus. I don\u2019t regret the journey because it led me here, with a solid foundation and the ability to help others avoid those pitfalls. Now, I\u2019m ready to help small firm leaders go beyond mere survival and step into clarity and sustainable growth.<\/p>\n

AALM: <\/strong>\u00a0Looking ahead, what more do you hope to accomplish in your career?<\/p>\n

DN: <\/strong>My next milestone is to amplify this message by writing a book with a course that shares practical strategies tailored for solos and small firms. Having spoken extensively in the space, I know there\u2019s a hunger for guidance that combines heart and hard-earned business savvy. This book will be a resource for those ready to stop spinning their wheels and start leading with confidence, clarity, and purpose.<\/p>\n

DN: <\/strong>Running a law practice doesn\u2019t mean you have to lose yourself in it. I\u2019m also a working artist, and I believe everyone needs a creative or fulfilling outlet outside their professional life. For small firm leaders juggling so much, finding that passion is essential, not just for personal well-being but for fueling the energy and creativity you pour back into your practice. Balance isn\u2019t a luxury; it\u2019s part of the success equation.<\/p>\n
