These are always trailing. It will catch up. I think there will be some salary hikes at the end of the year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><em>\u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kinneyrecruiting.com\/recruiters\/robert-kinney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Robert Kinney<\/a>, founder of Kinney Recruiting, in comments given to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/americanlawyer\/2025\/05\/28\/median-first-year-associate-salary-remains-at-200k-as-talent-pressures-ease\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">American Lawyer<\/a>, on the associate hiring market, and how it may affect compensation. He went on to say that while there is \u201cplenty of slack in the market right now,\u201d partner profits were quite strong in 2024, and that associate salary increases generally go hand in hand with that.
