[W]e have to get rid of the Biden \u2018Overhang.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Please note two things.\u00a0First, the random capitalization is, of course, Trump\u2019s, not mine.\u00a0I haven\u2019t forgotten what I learned in elementary school, so I capitalize more or less correctly.\u00a0Second, Trump routinely takes credit for everything good and takes blame for nothing bad.\u00a0These starkly contradictory tweets aren\u2019t unusual for Trump; they simply demonstrate undeniably, in his own words, his customary schtick.<\/p>\n<p>What else do Trump\u2019s tweets (or, now, \u201ctruths\u201d) show?<\/p>\n<p>On the campaign trail, Trump told us repeatedly that he would end the war between Russia and Ukraine on his first day in office (if not earlier).\u00a0Trump was campaigning, of course, so we knew \u2014 as Trump later conceded \u2014 that he was being a little optimistic.\u00a0Still, I couldn\u2019t wait to see how Trump\u2019s genius would unwind what seemed to be a thorny situation.<\/p>\n<p>On April 24 of this year, Trump revealed his strategy.\u00a0He\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2025\/04\/24\/europe\/russia-strikes-kyiv-trump-zelensky-crimea-intl-hnk\/index.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tweeted<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cVladimir, STOP!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Whoa!\u00a0If only I\u2019d thought of that!\u00a0That\u2019s why we elected the guy!\u00a0Gimme a minute to check on how this brilliant new approach to negotiations has worked.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m just getting warmed up.\u00a0Back in his first term, Trump\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/trump-typos-spelling-tweets-unpresidented-2017-4?op=1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tweeted<\/a>:\u00a0\u201cHow low has President Obama gone to tapp [<em>sic<\/em>, of course] my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon\/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!\u201d\u00a0 This was insane, and the FBI explained at the time that it had no evidence to support the claim.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But maybe I\u2019m lying.\u00a0So, call my bluff, Trump:\u00a0You\u2019re now having the FBI investigate endless silly things.\u00a0Instruct the FBI to look into Obama\u2019s wiretaps, dig up evidence to support your accusation, and put the criminals away.<\/p>\n<p>Fat chance.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, and the event that prompted this column, was what Trump posted on Memorial Day.\u00a0There\u2019s a law, 36 U.S.C.
