Talking the California Bar sucks. Taking California\u2019s February 2025 bar exam sucked so bad that anyone who sat through it should be able to add \u201cExperimental Vacuum Test Subject\u201d to the \u201cFun Fact\u201d section of their resume. The State Bar has doled out several corrective measures since the exam date: refunds, providing a free attempt at the next exam, and they even decided to go with a policy change that will net test takers a higher final grade than usual. <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/business-and-practice\/over-200-more-california-bar-takers-to-pass-after-new-adjustment\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg Law<\/a> has coverage:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>More than 200 February bar exam scores are expected to move from \u201cfail\u201d to \u201cpass\u201d after a California Bar committee approved new scoring adjustments.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants who nearly passed and got a second read on their written questions will receive the higher of two scores for each question, rather than the average, according to a Friday email from the Bar.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Two hundred?! That\u2019s like <a href=\"https:\/\/nationaljurist.com\/prelaw\/advice\/class-size-matters-for-first-year-sections\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a whole first-year cohort of law school students<\/a> going from \u201cbetter luck next time\u201d to \u201cattorney\u201d overnight!
