\u2014 Laurie Carr Mims<\/a>, managing partner of Keker Van Nest & Peters, in comments given to Law.com Pro Mid-Market<\/a>, on the firm\u2019s response following John Keker\u2019s<\/a> \u201c60 Minutes\u201d interview condemning the Trump administration\u2019s actions against law firms<\/a>. \u201cWe [were] willing to take on the risk. We\u2019ve had a history of taking on the government when we see unconstitutional acts. We did so in the first Trump administration, we did so in the Biden administration,\u201d Mims said. \u201cWe stand up against the government. We currently have actions where we\u2019re adverse to the government. We want to continue that and we will continue that and continue to be vocal.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
