According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/americans-dont-see-supreme-court-politically-neutral-reutersipsos-poll-finds-2025-06-15\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> a new Reuters\/Ipsos poll<\/a>, only 20% of respondents think the Supreme Court is politically neutral. <\/p>\n<p>The majority \u2014 58% \u2014 disagreed with that sentiment, and the remainder said they did not know or did not respond. It gets even more stark when you break the results out by political affiliation: of Democrats, 10% said SCOTUS is politically neutral with 74% disagreeing, but even the Republicans surveyed see the politically motivated writing on the wall with 29% saying SCOTUS is political and 54% disagreeing.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the politicization of the Court \u2014 or maybe *because* of it \u2014 44% said they have a favorable view of SCOTUS. Which is absolutely in line with the <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2022\/05\/of-course-the-supreme-courts-approval-is-in-the-tank\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Court\u2019s sinking approval rates<\/a> that have plagued the institution ever since the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health<\/em>\u00a0decision <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2022\/05\/unprecedented-scotus-leak-shows-just-how-little-respect-the-court-has-for-you-know-precedent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">got leaked<\/a>, stripping reproductive rights from Americans.
