That was grounds for revoking Columbia\u2019s accreditation status \u2014 now, Harvard may be forced to negotiate with the administration to avoid a similar fate. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/06\/30\/us\/politics\/trump-harvard-civil-rights-law.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York Times<\/a> has coverage:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The Trump administration said Monday that Harvard University violated federal civil rights law by failing to address the harassment of Jewish students on campus, increasing the pressure on the Ivy League school as it negotiates a possible settlement with the White House.<br \/>\u2026<br \/>In their letter, the Trump administration officials said that Harvard\u2019s \u201ccommitment to racial hierarchies\u201d had \u201cenabled antisemitism to fester\u201d at the nation\u2019s oldest and wealthiest university.
