Not exclusively in Biglaw circles, or even just within the legal profession, but like <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/19\/us-news\/cannibalistic-intern-fired-from-nyc-law-firm-for-biting-up-to-ten-coworkers-report\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Page Six<\/a> is talking about the story that Above the Law broke. Hell, it\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14922813\/summer-associate-fired-law-firm-biting-colleagues-newyork.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">even<\/a> gone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishlegal.com\/articles\/and-finally-the-hand-that-feeds\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">international<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DMV0CKPyswG\/?igsh=MTNuZDIxYXVpdHYyZg%3D%3D\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">speculation<\/a> about what the BB is up to now, since she\u2019s been bounced from Sidley Austin. But if and when the most famous Biter in Biglaw gets a second bite at the apple, will she f it up again? <\/p>\n<p>You see, there\u2019re rumors this isn\u2019t the Biglaw Biter\u2019s first vampire impression, with reports that this was even something she playfully mentioned during icebreakers at the start of the summer. (Which makes sense, it\u2019d actually be weirder if she\u2019d never bit anyone ever before and then busted out the move in Biglaw.) Alison Green of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.askamanager.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ask A Manager<\/a> has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/big-law-biter-work_l_687eaac6e4b0ba6cc4dc7a40\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">some advice<\/a> for the Biglaw Biter in all her future professional endeavors:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t bite anyone at work ever again! It\u2019s a form of assault, and the fact that she thought it was OK says she probably needs some serious remedial education in how to relate to people at work,\u201d Green said. \u201cThe only people you should ever bite are those who have given their explicit consent, and at work that should never even be under discussion!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Which\u2026 yeah. Seems like something one learns a lot earlier in life than Biglaw, but here we are! It is really, really salient advice.<\/p>\n<p>While the Biglaw Biter\u2019s behavior is obviously problematic, truth is, there\u2019s lots of touching you should probably avoid in a work environment: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAside from handshakes, I\u2019d say default to not touching coworkers,\u201d Green advised. \u201cIf someone has shown themselves to be a hugger, for example, they\u2019re probably someone who will be more welcoming of a congratulatory pat on the shoulder.
