Despite the fact that we\u2019re now living in a time where diversity, equity, and inclusion are looked upon as dirty words, each and every day, people of color continue to make great strides toward progress within the government and the legal profession in our country. In recent years, we\u2019ve seen history take place, first with Kamala Harris, who became the first woman and first woman of color to serve as Vice President, and later with Ketanji Brown Jackson, who became the first Black woman to become a Supreme Court justice. Who will be next to take up a position of power to influence the next generation of young lawyers?<\/p>\n

The latest Princeton Review law school rankings are out, and today, we\u2019ll focus on yet another incredibly important ranking: The law schools with the greatest resources for minority students.<\/p>\n

Which law schools do you think came out on top of this list?<\/p>\n

First, we\u2019ll begin with the methodology Princeton Review used to determine which law schools offer the greatest resources for minority students. This ranking was based on the percentage of the student body who identify as being from underrepresented minority groups as well as on student answers to a single survey question: Whether all students are afforded equal treatment by students and faculty regardless of their ethnicity.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Princeton Review<\/a>, these are the law schools where minority students stand on equal footing with their classmates:<\/p>\n

  2. University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law (ranked #1 last year)<\/li>\n
  3. UC Davis School of Law (unranked last year)<\/li>\n

  5. University of San Francisco School of Law (ranked #3 last year)<\/li>\n
