But those aren\u2019t the only enterprises Diddy is well known for. He\u2019s well known for his ventures into vodka and fashion, but his lawyers plan on drawing attention to another one of his hobbies: amateur pornography. Why? Transportation to engage with prostitution might be a criminal offense, but going out of your way to record a porno isn\u2019t. Billboard has coverage:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs filed a motion to overturn his prostitution convictions, saying the government \u201cpainted him as a monster\u201d but that the jury \u201crejected\u201d the case \u2014 and that the \u201cfreak-offs\u201d were just pornographic movie shoots protected by free speech.<br \/>\u2026<br \/>\u201cSean Combs sits in jail based on evidence that he paid adult male escorts and entertainers who engaged in consensual sexual activities with his former girlfriends, which he videotaped and later watched with the girlfriends,\u201d writes Marc Agnfilo and Diddy\u2019s other lawyers. \u201cThat is not prostitution, and if it is, his conviction is unconstitutional.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It takes a bold lawyer to argue that Diddy\u2019s baby oil parties would fall under the purview of what the Founders intended by free speech. Nonetheless, a colorable argument is a colorable argument. Does make you wonder why they didn\u2019t raise this argument at trial \u2014 was the \u201cconsenting\u201d element of the sexual activities recorded too up in the air while the trafficking accusations were live? Now that the charges are just prostitution, the home movies argument could become a much easier sell. Will it be enough to overturn his trial convictions?
