We sat down with them to discuss this AI platform for personal injury lawyers.

AALM: Tell us about your decision to launch ProPlaintiff.ai. Kris, as a PI lawyer, what first sparked the idea for the concept?

Kris: The idea to build ProPlaintiff.ai came soon after the launch of ChatGPT. I was using AI to draft legal documents, but the process was slow and unreliable. I approached Jason to build a software platform that would simplify and streamline the process so it could be used in an office setting.

AALM: Jason, what was your role in taking the concept from idea to reality?

Jason: We built the first version and Kris’ paralegals loved the software. I understood this was going to change legal work, so I recommended that Kris convert it to a multi-tenant SaaS application for other firms to use. He thought it was a great idea, so we pushed forward with making it a reality.

AALM: How has ProPlaintiff.ai evolved over the last 18 months?

Jason: In late 2023, we were writing simple legal demands and summarizing records. By mid-2024, we expanded to medical chronologies, audio/video summarization, and formulating complex legal demands and analysis. This year, the platform has become an operating system for personal injury law firms to leverage agentic AI, vector databases and automation.

AALM: How is ProPlaintiff.ai different than the other legal platforms out there?

Jason: We built our platform to be AI first from the very beginning and focused only on personal injury law firms. Other platforms are designed to handle multiple fields of law, so they don’t spend as much time refining the product for one user type. This gives us an advantage because we can optimize everything for PI law firms.

AALM: Currently, you have 70 law firms utilizing Proplaintiff.ai. How are you anticipating this will scale in the future?

Kris: 2025 is the year that AI went from a curiosity to a necessity. We are adding subscribers daily.

Jason: With the entire legal field looking for AI solutions, we expect to scale 1000% in the next two years. To do this, we will continue to focus on our customers, provide better AI outputs and features.

AALM: There has been much debate about how to properly use AI in the legal sector with little guidance from the ABA and other bar associations. How is your platform supporting the ethical use of AI for lawyers?

Kris: Ethical AI use must secure client data and protect confidentiality. Lawyers must review and verify AI output. ProPlaintiff.ai is HIPAA compliant, and does not use client data for model training. Our AI is “fenced in” to refer to databases that we, or the user, provide. This is to ensure accuracy and eliminate hallucinations. All AI-generated legal documents can be revised. This allows the attorney to maintain control over the output. AI must assist, not replace, the attorney’s judgment.

AALM: As many law firms are now embracing AI, what advice do you have for those that are ready to make the plunge but want to do so responsibly?

Kris: Set clear AI policies for staff. Limit AI usage to approved platforms for clearly defined tasks. Your best options are to purchase a subscription to a commercial platform like ProPlaintiff.ai or set up your private account as soon as possible.

AALM: Looking ahead, what is next for ProPlaintiff.ai?

Kris: The future of ProPlaintiff.ai is agentic AI. When fully implemented, Agentic AI will allow our platform to automatically call, screen, and retain leads, open a client file, schedule appointments, draft and edit case paperwork. All working independently and seamlessly 24/7.

Jason: Again, Kris said this well. As ProPlaintiff.ai becomes more agentic, we can automate internal processes to make large volume case work easier on paralegals and firms.

AALM: Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Jason: If any law firm wants to try our software, they can do it for free for 7 days.

For more information, visit proplaintiff.ai.

The post ProPlaintiff.ai: The AI Necessity for PI Law Firms appeared first on Attorney at Law Magazine.

Privacy Overview

This website uses cookies so that we can provide you with the best user experience possible.
