I\u2019m definitely taking more work in-house and having law firms bid on specific projects. Previously, I might have sent something out to a firm by default. Now, I\u2019m asking how far we can take it internally before turning to outside counsel.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/i>Jerry Levine, general counsel and chief evangelist at ContractPodAi, in comments given to Law.com<\/a>, concerning the rising rates being charged by outside counsel. \u201cI\u2019m giving more work to smaller firms or regional offices of larger firms,\u201d he went on to say. \u201cIt\u2019s often the same quality of attorney, but if I can pay Cincinnati rates instead of Manhattan rates, that matters.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
