That\u2019s why no one was surprised when <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2025\/08\/pacer-gets-pwned-hackers-breach-dinosaur-filing-system\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PACER got hacked earlier this month<\/a>. Who knows, maybe someone chucked \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/2020\/12\/16\/22179065\/trump-twitter-password-maga2020-dutch-gevers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">maga2024!<\/a>\u201d in the password box and lucked out? What you can be sure of is that it would be harder for hackers to do their namesake if the government did a better job of securing case information. A senator is taking his complaints to the top of the federal judiciary in the hopes of getting the ball rolling.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/legal\/government\/us-senator-calls-independent-review-federal-judiciary-cybersecurity-2025-08-25\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reuters<\/a> has coverage:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>U.S. Senator Ron Wyden on Monday asked Chief U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Roberts to commission an independent review of the federal judiciary\u2019s cybersecurity practices, following a major hack of the court system\u2019s electronic case management system.<\/p>\n<p>Wyden, a Democrat from Oregon, in a letter to Roberts said the recent breach of the federal judiciary\u2019s filing system marked the second time since 2020 it had been hacked by foreign actors exploiting the same cyber vulnerabilities.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Might take Roberts a while \u2014 he\u2019s probably still going through the backlog of little drawings with signatures on the crotch <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2025\/03\/watch-the-exact-moment-john-roberts-realizes-he-whored-himself-out\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">from a guy that was super appreciative of him doing a big favor<\/a>.
