Federal Insurance Co. filed a declaratory judgment complaint this week, arguing that it has no duty to defend or indemnify the polygraph company, John E. Reid & Associates, and others in an underlying wrongful imprisonment suit. After allegedly being coerced into falsely confessing to a 1995 fire, the late William E. Amor spent nearly 20 years in prison before he was acquitted in 2018 and subsequently recovered $25.5 million from the City of Naperville, Illinois.<\/p>\n
