And that is not my approach to judging. People might agree or disagree with either the philosophy or the result that I reach in applying that philosophy in an individual case, but I don\u2019t think of myself as a swing justice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong><em><i>\u2014 <\/i>Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amy_Coney_Barrett\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amy Coney Barrett<\/a>, in <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/5522175-barrett-swing-justice-supreme-court\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">comments given<\/a> during the inaugural <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scotusblog.com\/2025\/09\/justice-barrett-reflects-on-public-scrutiny-swing-votes-and-recusals-at-scotusblog-summit\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SCOTUSBlog\u00a0Summit<\/a>, concerning the times she has made decisions that go against the Trump administration\u2019s wishes.
