I\u2019m actually somewhat concerned about the Court. It\u2019s a little bit too personal and confrontational, some of the opinions. I\u2019m hoping that will settle down a little bit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014 <\/i>Former Justice Anthony Kennedy<\/a>, in comments given during an interview with CBS News<\/a> to discuss his memoir,\u00a0\u201cLife, Law and Liberty\u201d<\/a>\u00a0(affiliate link)<\/em><\/strong>. Careful not to criticize his colleagues on the Supreme Court, <\/em><\/strong>Kennedy went on to express his concerns about civility and ethics, saying, \u201cDemocracy presumes an open, rational, thoughtful, decent discussion where you respect the dignity of the person with whom you disagree. And if it doesn\u2019t have that, then democracy as we know it is in danger.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n
