EvenUp today introduced its new Medical Management product designed to help personal injury law firms track their clients\u2019 medical care in real time and prevent treatment interruptions that can undermine case value. EvenUp<\/a> today introduced its new Medical Management<\/a> product designed to help personal injury law firms track their clients\u2019 medical care in real time and prevent treatment interruptions that can undermine case value.<\/p>\n

The San Francisco-based company, which specializes in AI tools for personal injury practices, said the product addresses a widespread problem. According to EvenUp\u2019s data analysis, nearly one-third of personal injury cases experience significant treatment gaps that can weaken claims.<\/p>\n

EvenUp\u2019s analysis of cases on its platform found that 16.8% of plaintiffs develop a 30-day gap in treatment within the first three months of their case. That figure rises to 32.4% after six months, with 43% of cases eventually experiencing gaps longer than 30 days.<\/p>\n

These interruptions matter because consistent medical treatment is a key driver of case value in personal injury litigation, EvenUp says. Gaps can raise questions about the severity of injuries or the plaintiff\u2019s credibility, potentially reducing settlement amounts or jury awards.<\/p>\n

The challenge for law firms has been visibility. With large caseloads and limited staff, attorneys often lack real-time information about whether clients are attending appointments, receiving recommended care or encountering obstacles in their treatment.<\/p>\n

Real-Time Medical Tracking<\/h3>\n

EvenUp says its new Medical Management product addresses this challenge by providing firms with an interactive timeline showing each client\u2019s treatment history, upcoming appointments, medical expenses and communications, all available within an hour of uploading case files.<\/p>\n

The system flags treatment gaps, missed appointments and missing medical bills or records before they impact case value. It also identifies recommended care and critical procedures like MRIs, injections or surgeries, giving case managers immediate visibility into high-value treatments that have been completed or are planned.<\/p>\n

In a testimonial published on EvenUp\u2019s website<\/a>, Clark Fielding, founding principal at Fielding Law<\/a> in Irvine, Calif., said the technology helps his firm be better advocates. \u201cWe can pull up information in real time during depositions and get the ammunition we need to be the best advocates possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

AI Communication Agents<\/h3>\n

The agents handle basic status confirmations automatically, then flag cases requiring personal attorney attention.<\/p>\n

These Treatment Check-In Agents are the first in a planned broader suite of communication agents that will extend across the entire case lifecycle, EvenUp says.<\/p>\n

Another EvenUp customer, John K. Zaid<\/a>, managing partner at John K. Zaid & Associates in Houston, Tex., said the automated communication helps his firm stay connected with clients across large caseloads.<\/p>\n

EvenUp plans to expand its these communication agent capabilities to handle other time-consuming tasks, including record retrieval follow-up, balance verification and liability and coverage verification.<\/p>\n
