Not that there\u2019s anything necessarily <em>wrong<\/em> about that \u2014 many firms don\u2019t pay out their bonuses until the new year, so there\u2019s nothing magic about hearing about it until January. But, like Clark Griswold and his pool, you just want to <em>know<\/em> what you\u2019re getting before shelling out for the holidays, you know?<\/p>\n<p>Well, this year, the firm isn\u2019t leaving its team in suspense. The Top 20 Am Law firm, sitting on almost $2.5B in revenue, put out its bonus announcement and it\u2019s not just associates getting the good news.<\/p>\n<p>The associates are getting the market standard combination of annual bonus and belated Milbank summer bonus match (pending the associate meeting the requisite performance benchmarks, of course).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"588\" height=\"464\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/abovethelaw.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-16-at-1.46.23-PM.png?resize=588%2C464&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1174953\" title=\"\"><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bonuses will show up in the January 30 checks. Goodwin is offering more transparency to the counsel cohort, informing them that they will be eligible for a $25,000 special bonus atop their individualized bonus deals. And it doesn\u2019t stop there, with Department and Discovery Attorneys eligible for a $6,000 special bonus.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the lawyers, Goodwin is paying bonuses to the Global Operations Team at all levels \u2014 from secretaries and assistants to directors and chiefs.
