Kahn School of Law at High Point University moved into its permanent home in August 2025, welcoming first and second-year law students and faculty to the newly constructed three-story, 77,500 square-foot facility.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new building has Neo-Georgian architectural design that is elegant, refined, scholarly, sophisticated, and detailed,\u201d said Law School Dean and former Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court Mark Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Martin further explained that the facility meets the new realities of the legal profession: \u201cWe are training lawyers for the legal profession of the future. This necessarily includes training in the technological platforms, including artificial intelligence, that will be associated with that future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The law school\u2019s 2024 inaugural class had met in various buildings across the university campus before the new facility opened. It also serves as a classroom equipped with plug-in ports at each seat and a state-of-the-art audiovisual system. Martin has already hosted dozens of federal and state court judges and distinguished lawyers in this space.<\/p>\n<p>Two 30-seat courtrooms are fully equipped with counsel tables; judge, jury, and witness areas; and state-of-the-art technology found in modern courtrooms.
