I don\u2019t believe that there has ever been a moment in American history that a single person, the president of the United States, posed a real, grave threat to fundamental values that we all share, like democracy, the rule of law.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cooney<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>a former federal prosecutor who served as principal deputy to special counsel Jack Smith in two criminal prosecutions of Donald Trump, in comments given to CBS News<\/a>. He intends to run for a House seat in Virginia, if the state redraws its congressional maps. Cooney has already raised more than $200,000 in his campaign for the proposed seat.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
