Following its February news that it had entered into a brand partnership withj Gabriel Macht<\/a>, who played Harvey Specter in the TV series Suits<\/em>, the legal AI company Harvey<\/a> said today that it has entered into another such partnership involving another iconic Harvey \u2014 only this time it is using AI to make the partnership possible.<\/p>\n

This time, the Harvey in question is the six-foot-three-and-a-half-inch invisible white rabbit from the 1950 film Harvey<\/em><\/a>, starring Jimmy Stewart as Elwood P. Dowd, a man whose best friend happens to be a pooka \u2014 a benevolent but mischievous Celtic spirit in rabbit form.<\/p>\n

Having now raised more than $1 billion and with what the company described as \u201cboatloads of cash to burn,\u201d it is describing this partnership as its \u201cmost ambitious use of generative AI to date.\u201d Using its proprietary AI technology, Harvey will digitally resurrect actor Jimmy Stewart<\/a> to serve as the company\u2019s newest brand ambassador.<\/p>\n

\u201cGabriel Macht was wonderful, but we realized we were leaving an entire Harvey untapped,\u201d said Harvey cofounder and CEO Winston Weinberg, pictured above with cofounder Gabriel Pereyra and Stewart. \u201cJimmy Stewart embodies everything we stand for \u2014 he\u2019s trustworthy, relatable, and he sees things that aren\u2019t really there. Which, honestly, describes about half our user base when they first try legal AI.\u201d<\/p>\n

The AI-generated Stewart will appear in Harvey\u2019s marketing materials delivering his signature folksy charm, reportedly saying things like, \u201cWell now, this here legal research platform is just about the finest invisible friend a lawyer could ask for.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked whether Harvey the rabbit would also be involved in the campaign, Weinberg demurred. \u201cHarvey \u2014 the rabbit, not the company or the actor \u2014 has yet to commit. But between you and me, I think he\u2019s holding out for equity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The partnership also marks Harvey\u2019s expansion beyond traditional social media into what the company is calling \u201cspectral social media\u201d \u2014 platforms visible only to those who truly believe in AI.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is either a stroke of marketing genius or a sign that the legal tech industry has finally lost its collective mind,\u201d said one analyst who asked not to be named because they weren\u2019t sure if they\u2019d actually seen the announcement or hallucinated it.<\/p>\n

Harvey says the AI-generated Stewart campaign will launch on April 1, 2026, and will run indefinitely \u2014 or at least until someone representing Stewart\u2019s estate uses some other AI product to generate a lawsuit to shut down the campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cDetails,\u201d said Weinberg.<\/p>\n
