Most law students have to make it to a Biglaw firm before their smarts net them their six-figure checks. But there are many ways to put thinking like a lawyer to good use. One lawyerly talent \u2014 recalling strange bits of trivia at a moment\u2019s notice \u2014 has put a Seton Hall law student on a path to victory on Jeopardy! ABC<\/a> has coverage:<\/p>\n

New Jersey\u2019s Jamie Ding has become a household name. Thursday night, he\u2019s going for his 30th straight win, an incredible stretch that is as emotional as it is thrilling. After Wednesday night\u2019s game, Jamie Ding has won a 29-game total of $793,602\u2026The Princeton University alumnus is currently a law student at Seton Hall University. He\u2019s also now in 5th place for all time \u201cJeopardy!\u201d wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s weird,\u201d he laughs. \u201cI still don\u2019t believe it, but it\u2019s also wonderful. This entire run has felt like a just celebration of my life and my journey.\u201d With win after win, Ding already secured a spot in this year\u2019s Tournament of Champions.<\/p>\n

Law Review and Trial team experience are nice ways to spend your spare time as you work toward your JD, but they usually pay out a lot less than $800k. Sometimes we can all use the occasional reminder that there\u2019s more to our futures than Biglaw Burnout<\/a>. If you\u2019re at the point where you\u2019re seriously considering something else, a financially rewarding game could be just the reset you need. <\/p>\n
