It\u2019s worth it. But it has been a lot to swallow for a lot of plaintiffs\u2019 firms to bite the bullet and pay a couple hundred thousand dollars a year to a new lawyer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014\u00a0 Shanin Specter<\/a>, a cofounder of Philadelphia-based Kline & Specter, in comments given to Bloomberg Law<\/a>, concerning law students\u2019 increased interest in working for plaintiffs\u2019 firms over Biglaw firms. Many plaintiffs\u2019 firms are now large enough to hire new law school graduates. \u201cDon\u2019t tell me you\u2019re going to a [Biglaw] firm because you\u2019re risk averse,\u201d he said. \u201cIt is just the opposite. You must be risk preferential. The starting salary is not enough to go if you know in advance that you\u2019ll be gone within five years.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
