We all know that\u00a0Biglaw firms in America did well in 2025<\/a>, but what about their Biglaw counterparts across the pond in the United Kingdom? How did they fare when it came to their financial metrics last year? Thankfully, the latest edition of the UK Top 50 is out, which measures gross revenue, revenue per lawyer, and profits per equity partner, just like the Am Law 100.<\/p>\n

Collectively, the UK Top 50 did quite well, and it\u2019s worth noting that US-based firms are continuing to dominate the legal landscape across the pond, growing their UK revenues at more than twice the rate of their British competitors. Here are more details on the positive results from the UK, courtesy of\u00a0Law.com International<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The table\u2014ranking the 50 largest firms by U.K. revenue regardless of where they are headquartered\u2014features 23 U.S.-based firms, up from 19 a year ago.<\/p>\n

Those U.S.-based firms grew revenues by 14.7% on average, compared with U.K. firms\u2019 growth rate of 7.1%. Twelve of the U.S.-based firms experienced double-digit revenue growth, compared with just four U.K.-based firms\u2026.<\/p>\n

Linklaters has become the first firm to surpass the \u00a31 billion mark in U.K. revenue, growing 10.9% from the previous year and achieving \u00a31,059,200,000 for the financial year ending 2025, putting it at the top of the table for the third year running.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
