Founded in 2005 by Sean Claggett, the practice had handled a range of matters before ultimately transitioning into personal injury.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe made the shift,\u201d Granda explains. \u201cBut like most firms, you\u2019re worried about bringing in cases. Sykes, that philosophy begins at intake\u2014one of the most critical moments in the client experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of times, their biggest issue isn\u2019t even the legal case,\u201d Granda says. \u201cIt\u2019s their car. They need it to get to work. They need to take their kids to school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rather than leaving those concerns unresolved, the firm steps in. \u201cIt\u2019s another little touch of service,\u201d he says. \u201cOnce we get them through that stressful part, we can focus on the injuries and making sure they get the care they need.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From there, the firm maintains con-<br \/>tinuity. Granda points to a 2016 slip-and-fall case against Lowe\u2019s as a turning point. What was once a team of roughly 10 attorneys and 25 staff has grown into a firm with nearly 40 attorneys and close to 100 total team members.<\/p>\n<p>The firm now has offices in Las Vegas, Reno, and New York City, a recently announced location in Salt Lake City, and a sister firm in Farmington, Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>With that growth has come a central challenge: maintaining quality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen it was the three of us, it was easy,\u201d Granda says. \u201cWe all shared the same mentality.\u201d Scaling that mindset required structure. The work is complex, expectations are high and trial preparation can mean long hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt takes a certain kind of person to want to put in the work we do,\u201d Granda says.<\/p>\n<p>But high standards are paired with a deliberate effort to maintain respect within the firm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe treat everybody with respect,\u201d he says.
