\u2014\u00a0\u00a0Chief Justice John Roberts, concluding his majority opinion in Trump v. Barbara<\/a>, where the Supreme Court struck down President Donald Trump\u2019s executive order<\/a> which sought to end birthright citizenship. Roberts wrote that \u201cchildren born of parents unlawfully or temporarily present in the United States\u201d \u201csatisfy both elements of the Citizenship Clause,\u201d and therefore, \u201c[u]nder the Constitution, they are citizens at birth.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
