And, yet again, the ritual came with a series of catastrophes and a fully canceled test. In <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2026\/07\/maryland-thought-it-had-a-bar-exam-disaster-then-other-states-happened\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maryland<\/a>, the test faced delays. Missouri\u2019s delays were even worse, reminding us that the NCBE <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2026\/07\/the-california-bar-exam-was-a-disaster-ncbe-and-missouri-hold-my-beer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">doesn\u2019t guarantee a better exam than the much-maligned California experiment<\/a>. And in Washington, <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/2026\/07\/washington-just-called-off-its-entire-bar-exam\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">they had to cancel the whole test<\/a>.
