The issue is not what my beliefs are or even my motives when I bring a case; the issue is the merits of the case that I bring<\/strong>. The notion that the cases lack merit because of the belief of the prosecutor is a form of McCarthyism, of which we are seeing too much.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2014<\/i><\/span> Hamilton \u201cPhil\u201d Fox III, longtime head of the District of Columbia\u2019s Office of Disciplinary Counsel, in a written statement<\/a>, concerning the lawsuit recently filed by the Justice Department<\/a> against him and his 45-member investigative team, which alleges that they engaged in \u201cbrazen partisan behavior\u201d by \u201c[w]eaponizing state bar discipline against Executive Branch attorneys.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
