Umberg said the measure \u201cgives the courts another tool if lawyers don\u2019t follow the law, in terms of potential sanctions.\u201d The bill has been approved by both chambers of the California Legislature and now awaits Governor Gavin Newsom\u2019s signature.<\/strong><\/p>\n
