BIRMINGHAM, AL\u2014Bradley announced that Robert Maddox, a partner in the firm\u2019s Birmingham office, has been elected to the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) Board of Regents. Mr. Maddox was inducted into ACMA as a Fellow in 2020, and he will serve a three-year term on the Board of Regents.<\/p>\n
Formed in 1974, ACMA\u00a0comprises 550 lawyers in North America who are experts in mortgage law. Fellows share a commitment to giving back to their profession, improving and reforming laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions, and raising the level of professionalism of lawyers practicing in this area.<\/p>\n
One of the lead lawyers for the largest joint federal\/state investigation and settlement in U.S. history, Mr. Maddox serves as chair of Bradley\u2019s nationally ranked Banking & Financial Services Practice Group.\u00a0His work involves representing clients before the DOJ, EOUST, OCC, FRB, HUD, SEC, CFPB, and multiple state regulatory agencies, including banking, finance, and insurance agencies.<\/p>\n
