{"id":165386,"date":"2026-10-20T13:55:36","date_gmt":"2026-10-20T21:55:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/xira.com\/p\/2026\/10\/20\/harvey-now-connects-to-legal-research-platform-midpage-through-an-mcp-connector\/"},"modified":"2026-10-20T13:55:36","modified_gmt":"2026-10-20T21:55:36","slug":"harvey-now-connects-to-legal-research-platform-midpage-through-an-mcp-connector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xira.com\/p\/2026\/10\/20\/harvey-now-connects-to-legal-research-platform-midpage-through-an-mcp-connector\/","title":{"rendered":"Harvey Now Connects To Legal Research Platform Midpage Through An MCP Connector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawnext.com\/2026\/10\/harvey-now-connects-to-legal-research-platform-midpage-through-an-mcp-connector.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harvey Now Connects To Legal Research Platform Midpage Through An MCP Connector<\/a> appeared first on <a href=\"https:\/\/abovethelaw.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Above the Law<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A new connector announced today enables <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harvey.ai\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Harvey<\/a> customers to access the AI legal research platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.midpage.ai\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Midpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The connector makes Midpage\u2019s research library of U.S. case law, statutes, regulations, and agency materials accessible from directly within\u00a0Harvey, so lawyers can find and cite authority on the same platform they use for drafting and analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Midpage already had connectors with Anthropic\u2019s Claude, which was unveiled as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawnext.com\/2026\/05\/anthropic-goes-all-in-on-legal-releasing-more-than-20-connectors-and-12-practice-area-plugins-for-claude.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">launch of Claude for Legal<\/a>, and with OpenAI\u2019s ChatGPT, which you can see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawnext.com\/2025\/08\/watch-15-minute-demo-of-midpage-chatgpt-plugin-for-legal.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">demonstrated in this video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Harvey customers can run Midpage searches from Harvey Assistant threads, with cited sources delivered in the final output, the companies said.<\/p>\n<p>They offered these examples of how you can use this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research memos: Ask a legal question in Harvey, search Midpage, and pull the relevant opinions and key passages into the memo.<\/li>\n<li>Briefs and motions: Find supporting authority while drafting, with quoted passages drawn from the source opinion.<\/li>\n<li>Citation review: Check that the authorities cited in a draft exist and support the point they are cited for.<\/li>\n<li>Statutory and regulatory questions: Search statutes, regulations, and agency materials alongside case law when advising clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To take advantage of the connector, users must be customers of both Harvey and Midpage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur customers keep asking for Midpage wherever they work, and many of them draft and analyze in Harvey,\u201d said Otto Zastrow, founder and CEO of Midpage. \u201cNow the research and the drafting happen on one platform, and every proposition can be traced to the authority behind it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Midpage connector is now available in Harvey\u2019s Connector Library.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The post Harvey Now Connects To Legal Research Platform Midpage Through An MCP Connector appeared first on Above the Law.
