\"Fav-Chad\"FORT LAUDERDALE, FL\u2014Van Horn Law Group, P.A., a Fort Lauderdale-based bankruptcy law firm, has renewed its support of Nova Southeastern University\u2019s Shepard Broad College of Law with a $50,000 commitment to continue the Van Horn Law Group Pro Bono Honor and support related public-interest law initiatives. The new commitment brings the firm\u2019s total support to $100,000. The firm\u2019s founder and managing partner, Chad Van Horn, Esq., is an alumnus of NSU\u2019s Shepard Broad College of Law.<\/p>\n

The new commitment follows the firm\u2019s original $50,000 commitment, made in 2022 when the honor was established, and will extend the student recognition honor for an additional five years, from July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2032.<\/p>\n

The $50,000 commitment includes $25,000 for the Van Horn Law Group Endowed Pro Bono Honor Fund and $25,000 for the fund\u2019s spendable account, supporting the Pro Bono Honor and public-interest law programs at NSU\u2019s Shepard Broad College of Law.<\/p>\n

Through the honor, NSU Shepard Broad College of Law recognizes students who complete at least 50 hours of pro bono legal service with the Van Horn Law Group Pro Bono Honor. Since the honor was established, 258 graduates have been recognized, collectively completing 42,414 hours of pro bono service as of September 2026. During the 2025\u20132026 academic year alone, 61 graduates contributed 11,192 pro bono hours.<\/p>\n
