\u2014 Josh Kirschner<\/a>, a partner on Holland & Knight\u2019s national gaming team, in comments given to Bloomberg Law<\/a>, on the Supreme Court\u2019s unusual position as both a subject of prediction-market bets and a likely arbiter of how those markets are regulated. Bettors have wagered nearly $6 million on when Justice Samuel Alito might retire, while the court is weighing whether to take up a case over who regulates the platforms. Kirschner warned that delay could help prediction markets become \u201cmore ingrained in society\u201d and \u201ctoo big to fail, in a way.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
