\u2014 Bruce MacEwen, a law firm consultant at Adam Smith, Esq., warning Bloomberg Law<\/a> that Ramona Nee\u2019s decision to turn down the executive-partner role<\/a> could further unsettle Weil Gotshal\u2019s partnership. Nee was slated to succeed Barry Wolf in January, but her withdrawal leaves the firm without a clear successor as it faces mounting partner departures and failed merger talks. Wolf had described a smooth handoff as his priority, saying in May, \u201cNothing would make me happier or prouder than her leading this firm to even greater heights.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/strong><\/em><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
